Peekaboo
In this photo we are waiting for our stinky goodness. Those two were in the lounge, not paying attention and we had to stare hard at them. I get so anxious about things, especially when I perceive that it's time to eat.
A man came to the house this week and finished the new floor in the lounge. I hid behind the curtain while he made loud noises and moved things around. It was dusty and smelly and noisy and I was beside myself by the time he finished. Now all of the carpet is gone and when I run away from certain danger I slide all over the floor. My toenails have no traction and it looks like I do a little "ice skating" routine whenever I run. You can imagine the indignity of it all.

Aww, yes. We slip and slide through the hallway when we go racing down it. Corners are murder!!!

You and the floor both look very pretty - I know what you mean about feeling anxious about food!
Ohhhh Pearl, hope your days of construction and change are coming to and end.
Wait til your humans put a few throw rugs down on that ice rink, um, I mean slippery floor. That's when the fun begins. You start at a good run and you can rumple those rugs all day. Ask me how I know.
Eclipse
Don't worry Pearl, we've got a floor like this and you do get used to it. The good thing is it's easy to clean up those muddy footprints and cat hair. FAZ
