Pumpy and I had a barney the other night. (A barney is British for an argument.) Anyway... we had a barney at about 2 AM. Pumpy chased me around and I was growling and hissing and spitting and my fur was flying. It came out in clumps all over the hallway. Then the dog got all involved because she thought she was being "invited to play" but of course she doesn't know anything.
So the woman had to get up and put a stop to it and she was none too thrilled. She stayed awake for a few hours afterward but Pumpy and I fell back to sleep, curled up against each other as always. We really love each other and I don't exactly know why we have these spats. I think it's because one of us flicks our tail wrong or moves an ear forward.

Princess Anne came to our neighborhood yesterday (don't get jealous). She stopped by to pay tribute to the Irish Guard, who are very brave men and women, indeed.
She wore a cluster or shamrocks on her lapel and I saw a photo of her smiling. I think she had a jolly good time.

Hello. Do you like this artly photo of Pumpy and me? The woman took it. It is a very gray photo which captures the mood around here of late. We would like some sunshine now, please. And some energy. Oh... and we would like our stinky goodness served at 4:00 PM instead of 5:00PM. The woman moved our feeding time up for some reason and to me that just seems wrong.

Oh man... I ate quite a bit of dog food yesterday and today I've had stomach problems.
I'll spare you the details. Suffice it to say that we've had a change of kitty litter and I had a wipe-down with a wet cloth.
Other than that, I've been resting comfortably all day.
And what are you up to these days???

Here I am at the table again. I always try to join the peoples at the table but all I hear is, "Pearl, no... Pearl, no... Pearl, no"
Sometimes, however, my persistence is rewarded and on Saturday night I was given two dollops of smoked mackerel pate. Oh. My.
The man had to go away on a business trip and I'm pretty sure he'll be eating steak dinners or beef burgers every night because there's no red meat to be had in this house.
More to come...
