A Mighty Wind

Look what happened at our house yesterday. Those two are going to have their work cut out for them this weekend... and believe me when I tell you that they don't really know how to fix this.

In case you hadn't heard, England was hit with very strong winds yesterday and all kinds of wacky things happened. Trees blew down, electricity went out... Pumpy and I were most interested in the movement of the leaves and sticks and twigs.

We have to sit in the diningroom window and keep an eye on the back garden now that the fence is down. There's a very yappy dog who lives next door who might try to cross the property line and come into our garden and that's just unacceptable. If that happens we'll have to stand up in the window and make our fur go big.

Hi there, this is my first time to your blog. It was mad yesterday wasn't it? I am up north so the weather was even worse. We had lots of roads closed off, people walking home from work, massive traffic jams etc. Fences falling everywhere, and the aftermath of a fallen concrete wall at my office. This global warming is really causing a disaster!

WOW! I am glad you are ok Pearl and Pumpy. I heard about the big wind from Dragonheart.

ps: You have a very beautiful garden.

Cruststation -- thanks for visiting my blog! You are right. I fear that global warming will bring a lot of weird weather our way.

And Daisy -- you are so sweet. We like our garden and in the spring the woman will run to the garden centre and buy flowers and put them in those pots. But we think there's oh so much more to do out there. We can only urge her forward.

Oh dear. Rain is very stressful for Meow Meow. She becomes a little neurotic, truth be told.

In brighter news, I was sent the electronic copy of a home made cats in Morocco calendar - just January. So I am being very good at scheduling the rest of the month.

Yikes! We had very strong winds here in Germany too. One of our fence boards flew out, but not as bad as your fence!

I was interested in watching the movement of everything outside too.

I glad that you are all right and I hope the yappy dog doesn't try to come into your yard.

Oh no! I think Meowmy thinks she lives with you guys because she had dreams about horrible winds and damaging the house and stuff. I'm glad everyone is safe and you're on the look out for the dog. Don't forget to arch your backs and run sideways so you look bigger!!

That picture makes me feel scared! I'm so glad you and Pumpy are watching over everything and that you're all right. And I'd love to see a photo of you both with "big fur!"

Oh yes, I saw it on TV, here in Belgium it was not bad too, sometimes up to 180km/h. A lot of damages too ! But I think the worst was in the UK and in Germany. Your garden just looks like our son's garden in London, fortunately nothing happened there either.
