The Haggis and Burns Night

I really do like to get into the spirit of things over here in the British Isles and that's why I'm paying homage to Robert Burns as tonight is the Burns Supper. Sadly, there will be no piping in of the Haggis -- nor will there be any Haggis at all. In fact, I'm not even sure what Haggis is but I'm pretty sure that I'd like it if I got a taste.

Ye Pow'rs, wha mak mankind your care,
And dish them out their bill o fare,
Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware
That jaups in luggies:
But, if ye wish her gratefu prayer,
Gie her a Haggis!

No- there will be no tatties or neeps or haggis here. Just the same old Royal Canin stinky goodness which will be piped in by yours truly and Pumpy, especially if the beans are late in getting our supper to us.

We have never had haggis, but our Beans toured Scotland many years ago and said they bought it in fish and chip shops. They said they liked it.

ha. We like the idea that pipes sound like caterwauling.

Our mom was afraid to try haggis when she was in Scotland. She's such a wimp.

Hahameow...Teri said Haggis sounds like cat food to her! Royal Canin sounds fancy and is good for you, so guess it'll have to do!
