Pumpy accidentally got locked outside. We knew something was amiss because there developed a terrible ruckus in the garden and when we went out to investigate -- there was Pumpy under the trees and there was a bird standing before him, telling him off.
Pumpy allowed the bird to vent her feelings as he is very non-confrontational, especially when he's upset.
It all ended well. The woman grabbed Pumpy and brought him in the house and the bird returned to her nest in the trees, her feathers a little less ruffled.

That's one brave bird. I have never heard of a cat being wary of a bird before. I wonder how the bird new Pumpy wouldn't try to eat it?
