This is what I'm talking about...

I got a photo of all of us on the bed just to show you what goes on here during the day. Notice how I'm looking aptly disgusted. Pumpy is busy cleaning himself (which he does too much as far as I'm concerned). I try to get Pumpy focused on matters at hand but he can't seem to do it.

Well, you're done. Once the dog is on the bed the transformation from interloper to member of the family is complete. I feel your pain.

Pearl, I can see the look of disdain on your face. Why can't Pumpy seem to understand, or care? He is very silly.

Oh my, I am soooo glad there are no dogs here. One comes to visit occasionally and it takes me weeks to get over it.

Just keep letting him know that Cats Rule!

Hmm, I see what you mean. I'm not sure anything can be done about it at this point!

Pearl,

I agree a princess shouldn't have to put up with such things.

My poor Princess, I am horrified by what you are going through. If you need some "respite", feel free to come and visit me for a while. I am keeping a dog-free household. Bring Pumpy as well if you like - I feel Pumpy and I probably have a lot in common...fat...ginger and white...needs lots of cuddling...washes a lot...hmmm, maybe we are long-lost relatives!

Yes Pearl, I can see what you mean. I would be highly upset if my human sister's dog Shasta was that close to me. Perhaps you can designate a small space for the dog and make it clear that she's not to venture outside it and intrude on YOUR space! Obviously it's time to remind her just who's boss there.

Ah yes Pearl. We can see your disdain for the dawg in the ear posture. Perhaps Pumpy is doing some displacement grooming because of his increased stress level related to said "dawg".

oh Pearl, I can see that doggie is not respecting your boundaries. I see your paws neatly tucked beneath you and that the doggie has his paws stretched out, nearly invading your personal cat space.
