What's in a name?

In case any of you missed the NY Times article on the very interesting sampling of place names here in England, I'm posting these visuals for your enjoyment. But who are we to laugh? We once drove through Big Bone Lick Kentucky and there's always Intercourse PA!

(P.S. we don't live on Butt Hole Road.)

Ha! Don't forget the town of Sugartit near Big Bone Lick. And of course, there's always Lizard Lick, NC and Oomp, PA.

That's hilarious! I'm glad I do not live on a road where I am Not Allowed to say the name.

Dear Pearl,

Isn't that road near the pub called The Buggered Plougman?

Oh -- on an exciting note, we came "this close" to seeing Obama in Ottawa today! I went up to Parliament Hill, to catch a glimpse of his first visit, but alas, did not see him. Obama's approval ratings are higher in Canada than the U.S. and it was like a rock star had landed! We love Obama!

Before we moved to this place, on our daily drive to the city, we crossed Oo-ah Creek. In heavy rains it would give you the oo-ahs! Driving in the other direction, we passed through Wonglepong.
