Srsly. It's hot here in England. Look at me trying to find a cool spot on the floor. I'm seemingly desperate... yet... I still like to lie in the blazing sun amongst the weeds in our garden.
Yesterday the dog got too close to me and I slapped her and she cried. It was gratifying. Don't worry, I didn't slap her hard... just a little poke on her ear.

We call that "the paw of death" around here...
A little slap won't hurt her, she should have kept her distance. It has cooled down a bit now but is supposed to get hot again on Sunday. Mum has been taking us for walks just before dark when it is cooler.
We live in Devon not Dorset.
We are catpuddles here, too. We are going to give the toilet-sleeping a try...the idea of a sip of water before we parch to death is quite appealing.
As for the dog; we sure hoped you used a little claw.
What is with this weather? Is there anywhere in this hemisphere that isn't broiling?
Sorry, this heat has us, um, hot under the collar.
Hang in there, Pearl, it'll be winter again before you know it.
Good job reminding the dog who's the boss...
It's hot everywhere, Pearl!! The weather guy says it might be cooler tomorrow. We sure hope so....
Yep, hots here too but we are cool cats with the A/C...we think England isn't usually so hot so you might not have cool air...so keep stretching out so you don't sweat and stick together, hehemeow
