Male Pattern Baldness - Mancat Monday



Does anybody have an idea as to why Pumpy has a bald spot on his head? It appeared a few days ago.

Here's a nice profile of Pumpy for Mancat Monday. He was sitting by his food dish hoping that the woman would forget that she already fed him his breakfast.

    Poor Pumpy. :( Did he maybe have a clump on hair pulled out when he was playing or when his fur got caught on something?

    Erm...poor Pumpy. Is it scratchy?

    Maybe it is due to 1) fights 2 ) fungal infections

    I would vote for fights or war wounds... However, I think Pumpy is an inside cat and Pearl doesn't look like the type to rip a chunk of fur off Pumpy's head, thank goodness!

    P.S. I like how Pearl has a little "hat" and "tail cover" for her colouring. So cute!

    Maybe it's ringworm? But it really doesn't look like it. Did you skin the top of your head when you crawled under something?

    I agree with Forty Paws, it doesn't really look like ringworm. Just watch to make sure it doesn't spread.

    I certainly don't thing you had anything to do with it ;). Sometimes we just loose patches of fur when we get injured. Hope it grows back soon!
