A blog about the English life of an American kitty who lives with one human woman and one indentured servant man and sometimes two young boys.

Basement Cat Again
I believe that the Basement Cat (or one of its minions) was hiding under our neighbor's car the other night. When I see cats roaming around outside of my house I become very concerned and I don't rest well.

Our friend Julia mused about Pumpy's and my relationship. She wondered how we met and what our introduction was like. Well Julia, this may be hard to believe but Pumpy and I were found together in a parking lot in Harlem, NYC when we were merely six weeks old (or so). This leads us to believe that we were litter mates even though we look nothing alike. However, I've taken a photo of my hind leg where you can see a patch of ginger fur which is the only resemblance that I have to Pumpkin.
It's possible that we have different fathers, as this sometimes happens with cat litters. Did you know that? We learned that from the Tee Vee.
We also have a brother, Jeffrey, who lives in New York with his mummy, Jonna. He's a tiger tabby. And so none of us look alike but we're all from the same litter -- we assume.
That is all for today.
Happy Friday.

Ceiling Cat and Basement Cat
...from the Lolcat Bible. Sometimes pictures really help in understanding important bible stories.
I hope you have a nice weekend. I have to help clear the garden today and also our faucet is leaking which means that Pumpy and I have an unlimited supply of fresh water at least until the beans figure out how to change a washer!

Mancat Monday
Whenever the dog gets too close to Pumpy, he freaks out and runs away. HUGE MISTAKE, PUMPY! The dog thinks that the party started and she chases Pumpy upstairs and tries to play with him. Apparently we're supposed to slap our paws on the floor and wrestle with her or something.
You'll be pleased to know that I always stand my ground and I smack the dog when she tries that chit with me. She's welcome to sit in the window with me and she's welcome to share her fudz with me but I draw the line at everything else.

Blessinz of teh Ceiling Cat
Hello.
I've just had my breakfast and I'm popping in to give you a bit of news before I head off for my daily nap.
I have just learned that there's a Lolcat Bible Translation project underway and they need volunteers to help translate. You can go here to read about it. Here are some common word translations from the lolcat bible:
God = Ceiling cat
Satan = Basement cat
Earth = Urf(s)
Heaven = Ceiling
Sin = Invisible Error
And the list goes on. This is a very worthwhile project so I hope you give it consideration. I'm going to go think about it while I have my nap.
Have a nice day.
Love, Pearl.
PS -- It snowed here last night! WTF? (oops... pardon my French).

Mancat Monday
I haven't featured Pumpy for Mancat Monday in a loooonnnng time. This photo could also easily be posted for Toesday as well! Notice how he very adroitly balances himself on the edge of the table using the strength of his manly toes. (And he's not distracted by the camera, either.)
I think the above photo is perhaps the most manly of all. That profile!! And the way it appears that he's protecting me. (He's not. He's trying to make me move off the duvet.)
And that's my brother, Pumpkin, the Mancat.
