A good wash
Nothing like a good wash after breakfast. Pumpy and I clean ourselves at least twice a day and if I'm in a good mood I allow Pumpy to wash my face. And If I'm in a VERY good mood I wash Pumpy's face.
That's all I've got today, friends. It's time for me to take my nap.

Winsome Wednesday
Doesn't it look as though I'm smiling? Well... I am. This is because while grandma Pat was here, she gave me the milk off her cereal so I got TWO milk bowls in the morning.
On a down note, I've really gone off my stinky goodness. As many of you know, I have a bladder stone problem and so I am supposed to eat special stinky goodness, which I did quite faithfully until a few days ago. But I don't like it anymore and this is a problem because I can't have just any kind of stinky goodness.
The woman might call the V-E-T to see what else I can eat.

We're Cleaning House
Grandma Pat is visiting us on Friday. Need I say more? Those two are in high gear trying to get this house clean and tidy. I dislike cleaning days immensely. Sometimes they move furniture and this I find unsettling. Things are not in their proper place and there's a lot of banging and clanging. And then there's that loud sucking machine which is a garish coloured mechanical monster that lurches after me when it comes out of the closet.
Is it any wonder I have a nervous condition?

Happy Monday. We've just been hanging around, watching event unfold here in the house. The wallpaper is off the walls. The two boys were here this weekend and they upset me a couple of times by coming into the room very suddenly. And it's been sunny but cold here in southern England. Pumpy and I slept as much as possible and we ate our stinky goodness with relish. (No... not pickle relish... I mean we RELISHED our stinky goodness.)

Freaky Friday
Today a most unusual thing happened. The woman was taking a shower upstairs and suddenly it started to rain in the living room!! Isn't that exciting?
The man jumped up and there was much running to and fro... and then a pan was placed on the floor to catch the rainwater. I was so fascinated as the water made "ping" sounds when it dropped in the pan. It captivated me so much that I nearly forgot to request the milk off of the Honey Nut Flakes.
Now they have to call Mr. Dave, the plumber. Funny... he was just here this week to fix our heater.
For some reason the man was a little grumpy when he left for work this morning.
What's going on in YOUR house?

Testing testing
Hi Peeps... just figured out the photo/blogger problem so thought I'd post a photo!
This isn't a photo of me but I like the way this cat looks so I'm posting it anyway.
The man of the house went on a business trip yesterday and Pumpy and I slept in his spot on the bed all night. It was lovely.
The sun seems to be coming out early in the mornings now. I like to sit in the window and watch things happen in our back garden. As far as I can see, there are lots of birds and there seems to be a bumble bee nest somewhere near our house.
I like to wake the humans up when the sun comes out because, well, it's time for breakfast, right???? But they shoo me out of the bed and refuse to feed me until 7:00 AM regardless of when the sun's up. Weird.

No Picture Today...
Because Blogger won't let me upload a photo! Humpf.
Is anyone else having this problem?
One thing of note happened: Late last night I decided that I wanted to look out of the lounge window and when I parted the curtains to look outside there was a cat sitting on our window ledge. Can you imagine the shock of it? My tail got really - and I mean REALLY big and I made snorting noises come out of my nose. The man who lives here saw the whole thing and he laughed and laughed. I'm going to remember that the next time he jumps when the telephone rings.

I love HIM too
I know I don't speak often of the man who lives here but today I pay homage to him. He's nice. He's the one who picked us up from Heathrow Airport when we moved over here... he opened his home and heart to Pumpkin and me. And we love him.
Pumpkin loves him a lot because he's a man and Pumpkin is a MAN cat. They sit together in the evenings... mano a mano.
I love him because he speaks softly to me and he gives me the milk from his Honey Nut Flakes... and he also doesn't complain when I get into bed with him and the woman. He understands us. He doesn't make unreasonable demands. And he allows us the freedom to be who we are.
The woman also seems to like him a lot.
I guess this has been what management consultants would call a WIN - WIN situation.

Ho Boy
So -- the woman attended a "Personal Effectiveness" course. It was all about getting things done. She immediately came home and started ripping wallpaper off the wall because this has been on her "to do" list since January. But just look at it! I have to eat in that room (notice me eating).
Wall paper doesn't come off easily, did you know that?

I love using the computer. In this instance, I made the page bigger AND I typed 55555tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt5555ttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.
As in most of my endeavors, this one was very exciting and interesting. And the computer is warm, I might add.
When the woman came into the room she said, "Oh Pearl!!!" and her voice was so loud it startled me and I had to abandon my project -- like a flash of white lightening.
