Shoe Salvation

Someone gave the woman this card and it caused much laughter and hilarity in this house between the beans.

As a cat, I don't understand the woman's love affair with shoes but I can tell you that her closet is full of them. She also has some stuffed under the bed and they always get in my way when I'm trying to seek refuge under there.

Toesday

Take a look at Pumpy's toes as he grips the window ledge to steady his hefty bulk.

Pumpy is one of those shy, quiet types. He likes to sit with calm serenity and zone out.

He also likes to hug the beans. That's right. He puts one paw one their right shoulder and another paw on their left and he lays his head down and gets a big hug. He does it every day.

Bon Jour mon Ami!

This beautiful painting was done by Teresa Sheeley and the woman won it in a contest. This is very exciting for two reasons: The woman loves all things French and she's never won anything in her life. So a big Thank You to Teresa at French Poppy Designs. And you should go to her blog and check out her Etsy store because it's tres chic.

Darwin and Purr Face II

Hello.

These photos are of Darwin (the dog) and Purr Face II, who live together and who are devoted to each other, so much so that Darwin turned his nose up at a little female cavalier who was supposed to be his wife (even if only for a few days) so that they could make little cavaliers. Each time the little female approached Darwin he would go lay down with his friend, Purr Face II. In the end, the three of them just ended up sitting together, watching the birds in the garden. This is a true story as told to me by the woman. I thought you might find it interesting. This kind of thing would never happen in our house, I can assure you.

Now I have to go watch Antiques Roadshow.

Princess Pearl... Meet Princess Pearl!

That's right. There's another Princess Pearl out there in blogtopia. Isn't she cute? And we have so much in common. She's known as a "princess" in her domain, as am I. She lives with a woofie, as do I. She won the woofie award... AND she lives in Michigan which is where our woman grew up And here's her blog if you want to drop by and say hey: PBJ Cats.

In other news... the sun has been shining since Saturday. Yay for the sunshine in February! The woman grabbed her pruning shears and went spacky in the garden. She cut back some shrubs, dug up some weeds, and chopped at a runaway Hydrangea. She even found a few flowers that survived the winter and have started to bloom again.

She left the back door open while she was gardening and YOU KNOW WHO (that's PUMPY for those of you who don't know who...) went out there and ate some plants and then, well, you know the rest. (He THREW UP for those of you who don't know the rest.)

The dog followed her around the garden all afternoon and wagged her tail.

I watched everything from the upstairs window.

Oh -- and one last thing.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. I heart you.

Pearl.

Friend of Woofie Award

A huge thanks to Parker who gave me this award. I was rather forced into becoming a friend of a woofie yet I have made the best of it.

I have trained her to walk and sleep behind me.

Notice how I keep my back toes at the ready in case she tries anything silly... like sniffing my backside or "inviting me to play". Oh I hate that.

She has caught on quickly and it usually only takes one sharp look from me to stop her in her tracks. So long as she doesn't get all up in my stuff, we get along juuussssst fine.

Oh I loves me some radiator. I'm teaching the dog about radiators too. If you pass by our house during the day you will see the three of us sitting in the window. You will also see nose smudges all over the glass.

Hello little boy. Is that chicken you're eating???

...And still he will not share with me. Children these days have no manners. Even the dog shares her fudz with me.
